I don’t know why, but for some reason I always love going to big buildings, mainly sports arenas and stadiums. I guess you could say I’m easily impressed with how many seats you can fit and with todays technology, so many cool things are featured in each stadium. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers stadium, Raymond James, being the pirate team they are, have a pirate ship and cannons go off at their stadium during key moments of the game. The Royals recently added more seats, a Rivals party deck, and the biggest attraction, a humongous HDTV screen behind center field.
The Kansas City Chiefs recently gave media outlets a tour of their renovated stadium. I must say, I’m very disappointed with the turnout. The biggest turn off was the Ring Of Honor has been taken down. Former greats will be still be remembered electronically. However, I feel having the actual name of the players on the walls mean more.
Everything else seems to look good. A big bar on top of the stadium looks great. The new HDTV screen look great as well. I look forward to giving a full review after this weekends game!
Be sure to listen to me Saturday morning on Hot Talk 1510 AM from 8 AM – 9 AM. I will be a guest on “KC Sports and Fitness” and we’ll be discussing the Kansas City Chiefs.
